MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN for his debut full-length album. It peaked at number eight on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Turizo has a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. As a child, was playing the ukulele and piano. The initial goal was to be a vet, but his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with the help of a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he found his ability to sing and also altered the direction of his life.
